In his Gospel, describing the love of our Lord, St. John the Evangelist says: “Jesus having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.” (Jn 13:1) The expression "to the end" does not have merely a temporal meaning. It characterizes, in fact, the love of Jesus, who loved us to the EXTREME. This kind of sacrificial love can lead us to the Cross, but in the dawn of Resurrection that same love makes us live again!
