Celebrating Armenia’s Independence

As we celebrate Armenia’s Independence Day, let’s take a moment to reflect on what truly defines us as a people. And what better way to do that than by reflecting on our flag? Our flag, with its vibrant colors, is not just a banner that flies in the wind. It’s a banner that carries a message straight from Scripture. It draws its inspiration from the very design of the high priest’s garments in Exodus 28:6-8 and reminds us of the divine identity that flows through us as Armenians.

In the red, we see the love and sacrifice that runs deep in our history. It reminds us of those whose hearts beat for Armenia, who gave everything for the future of their country. In the blue, we find hope—an anchor in the ocean—hope for a brighter tomorrow and the strength to persevere, no matter the odds. And in the gold, we find faith—faith in the everlasting promises of God, who has been with us through every trial and triumph, promises sealed by His Cross.

Friends, just like the colors of our flag, we are called to carry these virtues and values into the world. We are called to let our love shine bright in a world that desperately needs it. We are called to hold on to hope, even when the storms come, knowing that God’s strength is within us. And we are called to stand firm in faith, trusting that God’s promises are true.

So, as we look to the future, let’s carry these colors with us—not just on a flagpole but in our hearts. Let the red remind us to love without limits. Let the blue remind us to hope without fear. And let the gold remind us to believe without doubt. Because our God is faithful and He’s directing our steps, blessing our path, and leading us to a future filled with promise and blessings.
