Every Sunday, we receive a beautiful and powerful invitation from our Lord—"Come to the Table." This special invitation calls us into a divine fellowship, a sacred communion where we partake in the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the essence of the Badarak, our Holy Eucharist, a time when heaven meets earth, and we are nourished spiritually and physically.
In Psalm 23:5-8, we read these comforting words: "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
Just as David experienced the Lord's provision and protection, we too are invited to this divine table. God is our host, and He invites us to come, to sit, and to be nourished. This is not just any table; this is the Lord’s table, a table of abundance, a table of blessing, a table of communion. At this table, we receive the very essence of our faith—the body and blood of Christ.
The Lord has prepared a table for you. He has set it with the finest of spiritual foods. He has anointed you with the oil of His Spirit, marking you as His own. Your cup is not just filled; it is overflowing with His blessings. This is the reality of the Holy Badarak. Every time we come to this table, we are reminded of His everlasting covenant with us. We are reminded that we are His children, loved and cherished, called to live in His house forever.
So, come to the table with a heart of gratitude, come with a spirit of expectation, and come with a readiness to receive the Lord. As you come, you will find that His goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life. You will find that you are not alone, for you dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
