"Two sparrows are sold for a penny, yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father's knowledge. And even the hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." (Matthew 10:29-31)
Jesus tells us in this passage not to be afraid, because we are worth more than many sparrows. He reminds us that if God cares for even the smallest creatures in His creation, how much more must He care for us, who are made in His own image?
It is easy for us to feel small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. We may feel like we are just a small piece in a big puzzle, or a tiny fish in a vast ocean. We may struggle to see the value and worth that we have as individuals.
But the truth is, God sees us differently. He sees us as His precious children, worth more than anything else in this world. He knows every detail about us, and He cares about us deeply.
It is important to remember this, especially in times of difficulty and struggle. When we are facing challenges or uncertainty, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed or alone. But we can take comfort in knowing that God is always with us and that He cares for us in ways we may not even understand.
So let us hold on to this truth, and take comfort in the fact that we are precious to God. Let us trust in His love and care for us, and live our lives with confidence and hope, knowing that we are always under His watchful eye and in His caring hands.
