GREAT LENT- Day 34: Saturday

"But as for me, I will look to the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me" (Micah 7:7).

The Holy Scriptures encourage us to trust in our Lord with complete devotion, to surrender to Him in all our difficulties and trials, and to wait on Him even when the circumstances and situations we find ourselves in seem to have no way out. The Psalmist guides us, saying, "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!" (Psalm 27:14).

Indeed, no one enjoys or loves to wait in our impatient world. The difficulties that arise when waiting lead us to despair and discouragement. Indeed, it is difficult to wait, and for this reason, the Holy Scriptures encourage us, saying, "Be strong, and let your heart take courage." These words often appear in the Holy Scriptures, especially when describing some of the most challenging conditions where human effort and strength are insufficient.

The secret to waiting on God calmly and confidently and receiving His abundant blessings is the conviction that this waiting is never fruitless. It always brings forth results. Indeed, this is the courage to believe that God hears our prayers and will hasten to be our help in our need, even when it seems like there is no way out of our situation. We wait for God who does not leave us in despair, as the Psalmist says, "Do not let those who wait for you be put to shame." (Psalm 25:3)

Dear Friends, do not allow anything to hinder us from waiting upon our God with our faith and perfect trust. Even in the worst difficulties, hardships, and struggles, come and let us join the prophet Micah and say, "But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me." Micah 7:7
