Oven Over Microwave

We’ve all been there—waiting for a dream to come to pass, a prayer to be answered, a door to open. And if you’re like me, you probably don’t enjoy the waiting. We want things fast, quick, right now. But God doesn’t work on our timetable. He’s not rushed, not stressed. God is never in a hurry, and He’s never late. His timing is always right.

Think about baking a loaf of bread. There’s a process involved. First, you gather the ingredients, mix them together, knead the dough, and then—you wait. You put it in the oven and let the heat do its work. But here’s the key: you can’t take it out too early. If you do, it’s going to be soft in the middle, doughy, unfinished. And if you leave it in too long, it’ll come out burnt, hard, and dry. It’s all about timing.

And the same is true with what God is doing in your life. You may feel like you're sitting in the heat right now, “God, I’ve been waiting so long. When is this breakthrough coming? When will the right door open?” Things aren’t happening as fast as you’d like. But that doesn’t mean God forgot about you. It means He’s letting your potential rise, letting your character develop, preparing you for what’s ahead.

Isaiah 60:22 says, “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” Not when you think it’s right. Not when your parents or friends think it’s right. When He knows the time is right. That’s when the bread is golden, the flavor is rich, and the blessing is complete.

Sometimes, we want to microwave our miracles, but God’s using the oven. It’s hot, it’s uncomfortable. You feel like nothing is happening. But something is happening. You’re rising. You’re maturing. God is preparing you for more than you asked for.

Friends, you don’t have to force anything. You don’t have to manipulate, push, or stress. Just trust God’s timing. He’s never early, never late. He’s always on time. And when the timer goes off, when the moment is right, that door is going to swing open, that healing will break through, that opportunity will knock.

So, hold on. Keep trusting. Keep believing. And when it’s done, oh, how sweet that bread will be.
