We often find ourselves asking, "What is the meaning of life?" or, more specifically, "What is the meaning of my life?" When we survey the world around us, we see chaos, sorrow, suffering, and pain everywhere. We are born crying, learn through hard work, live with suffering, and die in pain. It is natural to wonder why we experience all of this and what the purpose of it all is.
Personally, I have been pondering these questions for a long time throughout my conscious life. From my time in school and seminary to my university years and pastoral ministry, I have come to realize that the answer is always the same: God, the Most Holy Trinity – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
God is the meaning of our life, and nothing can possess or acquire meaning without Him. With God, everything becomes illuminated and full of purpose. The meaning of life is to be in communion with God's only Son, Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit. This journey begins during our earthly life and continues beyond the limits of material reality, into eternity.
Glory to the Most Holy Trinity – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – now and always, forever and ever. Amen.
