When God Wipes Away Our Tears

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them and be their God; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3-4)

This passage brings comfort and peace to the souls of those burdened by the hardships of this weary world, as they fix their eyes on heaven.

As long as we are in this world, tears will inevitably flow from our eyes. Our journey in life is similar to the journey to the Promised Land, as described in the book of Exodus. By God's grace, we have been freed from the servitude of sin and its curse, but we continue to endure the pains, diseases, tribulations, and trials of this fallen world.

However, when we finally arrive at the diamond-shaped doors of the Kingdom of Heaven, God will wipe away every tear from our eyes, and there will be no more death, mourning, pain, or suffering. In the radiant presence of God, there will only be peace, love, and joy.
